A quick round up of bulbs springing to life…
Daffodils are the most advanced having suddenly appeared and grown a couple of inches in a matter of a few days…
Hidden from view, and probably even earlier, hyacinths, pot grown indoors in past years, peek out from the pots where they get randomly assigned at this time of year (although not this year).
Tulips, which for some reason never do so well here, have just begun to poke heads above the season’s parapet…
…and finally… snake’s head fritillaries – my personal favourite are shooting up.
