Battered but unbowed

No much to say today… having spent Sunday in our minuscule front garden tackling very overgrown bushes we suffered for the effort with aching bones and livid scratches. Consequently, not a lot of time was spent in the garden since.

Mother Shield Fern Polystichum proliferum

Newly acquired the above fern… I always saw them as shade plants… in the shade this goes nowhere, in the sun it races ahead.

Talking of not doing a lot… this small shrub was supposed to have huge blossoms and not much happened at all!

Winter Honeysuckle Lonicera fragrantissima

Today I managed to potter about and plant up a few of the wild flowers we recently acquired.

As these few love damp they are in a planter that has no drainage holes.

Rant it out!
