Bee Confident

I checked with the bee, ant & wasp forum and they endorsed my bee ID… which pleased me greatly. Not a new bee in the garden, not a new bee for the year, not even a new bee for this blog… but a new found confidence for this bee-ginner!

The Common Carder Bombus pascuorum

This are of the garden was only constructed last November when we had a wall built as a permanent raised bed (hidden behind a row of pots). Everything planted in it (to a purple and white theme) was chosen for pollenating insects. With Rosemary and Sea Holly at the back with tall campanulas and a scattering of Lavender and a bunch of native flowers.

Rant it out!
