Wet & Windy

For months the daily question has been: ‘does the garden need watering’? The curse of gardening in containers is that they can dry out very quickly. Moreover, this year the hot, dry weather has often been windy. I don’t recall so much wind in summer in my seven decades, so, it’s presumably another part of climate change.

I guess that the thorough drenching, courtesy of mother nature, has to be welcomed, in as much as it will save on our water bill and our draining of a precious resource. The garden doesn’t look too bad despite the weather.

Although there are exceptions. Starlings and Doves like to drop suet in the birdbaths and often accompany this with dropping the stuff after it passes through them! Yucky!

Rant it out!
